Touch Aussie Rules set to launch in Australia

Touch Aussie Rules is a fun and exciting new version of Australian football is set to take Australia by storm.

Formed in London by homesick Australian expats in 2005, the game will be launched in Australia in 2010.

So what is Touch Aussie Rules?

“We found that a lot of people wanted to play footy, but didn’t have the time to commit to training two nights per week, plus playing on Saturday. And there were those who wanted to play but without the risk of injury,” says Touch Aussie Rules founder Brian Clarke.

“Based on their feedback we created Touch Aussie Rules. Our first league started in 2005 and was purely mens. It was great but we found there was too much agro, so we switched to a purely mixed competition.

“Having the girls involved was fantastic. Their participation ensured the focus was on fun, and after 4 years we feel we have a fantastic game,” said Clarke.

Touch Aussie Rules is looking for motivated people who want to help set up leagues all over Australia. If you are interested please contact Brian Clarke via info@aussierulesinternational.com.
