| Assumption into 15th MCG Grand Final |
Assumption College easily accounted for a highly rated Parade side in yesterdays Herald Sun Shield semi final.

With a few late inclussions of Will Gorman, Michael Morgan and Matt Grantham, Assumption started slow but finished the 1st term strongly, with Tallan Wright booting through one of his 6, which took his total to 50. The ruckwork of Xavier McMahon and Jesse Webster was supurb as was the continued repelling out of the back line, in particular Quaide Comi and Michael Tinkler. Nick Maric and Nick Lawless continued to impress, with Marics high flying marks and Lawless's continued running a joy to watch. Young players Grantham and Gorman showed potential up forward. And the run through the middle of captain Brendan Allen and Jackson Garvey-Hawke was sensational. Assumption had a handy lead going into half time, and came out all guns blazing in the 3rd term. Not letting Parade score a goal agaisnt a strong Port Melbourne wind. A few words from former captain Jamie Sheahan and the traditional War Cry going into the last term, urged Assumption onwards as they ran away with the game, and ran out easy victors. They will now meet St. Patricks Ballarat in the MCG Grand Final. As they go for their record 15th Herald Sun Shield Premiership.
